Does Vick now own a dog? He's not saying
Jeff McLane

Michael Vick declined to answer whether he owned a dog after he tweeted a photograph of him and his daughter at home Thursday night that included a box of Milk-bone dog biscuits.
“I’m here to strictly talk about football,” Vick said Wednesday at the NovaCare Complex. “What goes on in my personal life is not to be talked about. What’s most important right now is the Philadelphia Eagles and getting the win Sunday.”
The 3-2 Eagles host the 1-3 Lions at Lincoln Financial Field.
In the picture, captured by the sports blog Crossing Broad, Vick is looking at his Eagles playbook on his IPad while his daughter is working at the same table. To the right is the box, apparently opened. The tweet was later deleted and another similar photo was sent, this time without the box in the picture.
Vick is permitted to own a dog and has spoken openly in the past about wanted to obtain one for his family, especially his two daughters. Recently, he was asked by CNN’s Piers Morgan if he ever wanted to own a dog again.
“Maybe so,” Vicks said in July. “Being honest. Being candid. … I still deal with my kids each and every day, and for the last 3 years, not being able to have a dog because of my acts. ... I just don’t think that’s fair.
“It may be something that’s therapeutic in that for them and I can’t take that dream away from them. That’s selfish on my behalf.”
Asked what kind of dog he would prefer to own, Vick told Morgan that he would allow his children to choose, but that “it certainly won’t be a pit bull.”
The Eagles quarterback was unable to own a dog during a probationary period following his release from prison in May of 2009. Vick served 19 months in a federal prison for owning and operating a dogfighting ring. He remained under house arrest for an additional two months and ended his probation in July.

He's not doing anything legally wrong so its really none of our business but a guy who has thrown family pets to their death as training tools and personally killed a dog with his own hands by bashing it repeatedly into the ground until it died probably shouldn't be around dogs... philliesphan79- yes.. but didn't he say its for his kids? and I am sure he would never own one.. like you said its not our business.. but still he should have a heart atleast for his kids.. wouldn't you think? arvind
He did own a dog, but he dropped it and it ran off. tr88
I believe this man is sorry for what he did. I believe he was originally sorry he got caught.
He is trying to be a family man so if the children and his wife love the dog maybe owning a dog is a good thing.
Although I seem to remember something about his parole restrictions and pet ownership? yes no i am not sure. 1000hugs
Nice to see that Mike is doing some homework with his daughter. Maybe we could see a picture of them brushing/flossing next. If he can have a dog thats his business. NYPHILLYPHAN
don't think it's fair Mike? I don't think it is fair what you did to the dogs you have previously owned. wolfburn
Dakee and all you forgiving fools - the man tortured as in drowned, electrocuted defenseless dogs and killed them and all in the name of PROFIT. He deserves no forgiveness and shouldn't be allowed near dogs. It's like allowing Sandusky to adopt little boys! Scarlet- You really are going to compare this to Jerry Sandusky??? Do you even have a heart? I don't consider animals any lesser living beings.. but just because Jerry Sandusky is abusing kids doesn't mean his kids and wife are not allowed to have kids? Do you even think before you post something? He said it clearly his daughter have been asking about having a dog.. are you going to punish them because he did stupid things in past? And you haven't done anything wrong to even smaller extent and wanted to be given a second chance to redeem yourself.. He will have to work his lifetime to be forgiven.. but because of him Dog Fighting Ring has come into focus around America.. And a lot of spotlight is on it and don't you think there is extra step taken to prevent this from happening and lots of dogs are being rescued?? Would you ever see something positive happening out of this? I never say he didn't do wrong.. but he is doing the right thing now.. and as long as he is going to keep doing that one should not have a problem. You don't have to forgive or forget.. but if you keep the grudge.. how do you define yourself? loving? Think about it again scarlet... Please show some compassion to his kids.. may not be him.. but for the sake of kids.. arvind
- comparing child molestation to someone killing animals is disgusting. you should be ashamed of yourself AlexSp

haters love this....the media ho's cannot miss an opurtunity to discuss a non-issue....unless it is against the law or his leagl ruling , it is none of our dam business.....but then again, haters have no life so they will feed on this...and the media has no character or integrity, or desire to find real stories....(how is Vicks having or not haveing a dog as important as congress' lack of effort in solving the defict issue, or the presidents lack of problem solving skills in reference to jobs, energy independece (oil drilling) SEE, for the sheep and haters and party (both) koolade drinkers and sound byte believers......there are really some big issues you and the media should be focusing on..... nuggett- This comment has been deleted.
