Wow, what soft ball questions...no wonder this reporter Jeff McLane the Eagles lackey was selected to screen the questions and only post the easy questions.

I glanced through these answers and they were even less insightful than his post-game conferences. Not that anyone should be expecting him to actually divulge any real details on anything to begin with. Kind of a pointless exercise, even if it's nice to have the coach take a little time to sorta reach out to the fans.

Typically, I always defend Reid's approach with the public and media during the season. I don't think the public has to know every last detail, and I certainly don't think that hiding things from the public is bad when it gains you a competitive advantage no matter how slight that advantage may be. With that said, this Q&A session was completely worthless. If a player or coach is going to volunteer for one of these sessions, then make it worthwhile. Most of the questions were terrible (meaning they only let the softballs through), and the answers were even worse. This Q&A certainly isn't going to improve the image Reid claims he is trying to improve.

I'm in the same boat, however, I don't really know how you would expect Reid to respond to these questions differently. I wouldn't know what type of questions that Reid would like to answer?

it's sad how some dude asked a question about the back up QB situation (the most important question of our 2012 season) and the moderater even said his question would be the 1st answered, but was completely ignored anyway. with reporters from OTA's saying Edwards doesn't even look like an NFL QB and Crapka "the interception machine" as our #2, i think it is more than fare to allow Philadelphia hero Jeff Garcia a chance to compete for the back up job (expecially when he said he would pay Andy to play). all this excitement could easily be turned into depresion if Vick goes down "like he always does" and we don't have firey leader like Garcia to keep things rolling. it doesn't cost anything, he'll play for free, i say let him compete this offseason, he can't be worse than Edwards, there is nothing to lose and he might just knock your socks off again :D GO EAGLES!!!!

Garcia did a great job for us but I think Jeff needs to stay at home with his sexy wife. All human beings get old with athletes they peak and then their skills deteriorate. Time to move on from Jeff.

hmmm, well if you don't give him a chance to compete with Crapka, you might just find yourself pulling your hair out again when Vick goes down again and our most promising season goes down the drain and the whole team gets torn apart afterwards just because ignorant people looked at Jeff's age and not his ability to win a few games when Vick goes down. to not even let him try to compete and then later find out the whole team gets dismanteled after this season cause Crapka can't throw the ball more than 10 yards and we didn't even take up Garcia's offer to compete for free will result in the most depressing times in Eagles history. Crapka is a unproven loser, Garcia is a proven winner, Eagles nation will prolly have to call on one or the other to save our season (and our very promising roster from a similar demise after the Superbowl loss) to ignore Garcia's offer at a time like this could really come back to haunt people.

I normally only rail away on Dan Gross on philly.com, this fluff was a complete waste of time. SHOCKING that nobody asked "if you had to do it all over again, would you give Castillo the job". OR "Ronnie Brown throwing the ball, really"? OR With Akers on the team, you're in the playoffs as the hittest team in the NFL. How does that feel?
If this lasted any longer I would have gotten then recipe for Mississippi Mud. McLane: you're Eskin with a typewriter.
