Eagles' Bennie Logan could miss game against the Redskins
Eagles defensive lineman Bennie Logan was not at practice on Wednesday because of a calf injury, and his availability for Saturday's game against the Washington Redskins appears in doubt.

Coach Chip Kelly disputed a report that the team is considering shutting Logan down for the season. He said Logan is "day-to-day." If Logan is out, Beau Allen is expected to start at nose tackle. Defensive end Cedric Thornton could also play that spot.
"I think Beau's done a really nice job," Kelly said. "We'll rotate those guys, him, Ced, and Brandon Bair would be active if Bennie can't go. We'll still have a six-man rotation on the defensive line."
Maxwell still ailing
Cornerback Byron Maxwell continued to miss practice because of a sprain of the SC joint, which connects the sternum to the collarbone. Maxwell watched practice from the sideline.
The good news for the Eagles is cornerback Eric Rowe was cleared to play after suffering a concussion on Sunday. Rowe practiced on Wednesday. The rookie said it was the first concussion he's ever suffered.
"I really thought after the game, I went home and thought I was back to normal," Rowe said. "But they have rules in the NFL, you have to go through a protocol. . . .But really after the game, I felt fine."
The other player to miss practice was wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu, who has an ankle injury.
Pro Bowlers
The Eagles have three players invited to the Pro Bowl, but one player who didn't get a bid was safety Malcolm Jenkins. Jenkins has 94 tackles, three forced fumbles, and two interceptions this season playing as both a safety and a slot cornerback.
"Every year, there's some people who felt like they should be in it," Jenkins said. "You look at who did make it, and a lot of it comes off name recognition. But there are other guys who are more deserving – I thought [Panthers safety] Kurt Coleman should have been in there, even before me."
Jenkins also mentioned Dolphins safety Reshad Jones as a player who deserved to go. But Jenkins, who was named as an alternate, believes he's played at a Pro Bowl level.
"I think this year, especially, probably more so than ever, the impact I've had on games and what I'm asked to do in this defense is something not a lot of people in this league can do," Jenkins said. "And when you compare it to some of the people who did make the Pro Bowl, I think I'm right there if not a little better."
Of the three players who made it from the Eagles, the most deserving might be defensive lineman Fletcher Cox. His family was in from Yazoo City, Miss., and were on edge throughout the Tuesday waiting for the announcement. Kelly called Cox to inform him of the selection. Cox was thrilled to finally to get the bid after he was one of the snubs last season.
"I think it's probably a little later than it should have been," Kelly said. "I think he played at that level last year. . . .He was happy, excited and deservedly so. I think he has played extremely well this season, so we are really happy for him."
