Observations from the Eagles' second day of training camp:

A day after taking all of the first-team repetitions at quarterback, Sam Bradford was under center for the majority of them on Monday. He looked a little more comfortable on Day 2.

His best pass may have been a heave that fell incomplete. Bradford was pressured but flung a pass off his back foot about 40 yards that clanged off running back Raheem Mostert's hands. It would have been a tough catch, but there is no other quarterback in camp who can make that throw.

Bradford isn't going to remind anyone of Aaron Rodgers outside the pocket, but he showed some mobility when he rolled to his right and hit Josh Huff on the numbers. Bradford got into a groove with Jordan Matthews. I'm not sure he had a receiver as good in St. Louis.

Mark Sanchez took his first series of snaps with the first team. I'm not sure that constitutes as a quarterback competition, but it's a start. His best toss during the series was downfield to Huff on a comeback route.

Working with the second team, Sanchez knew who would butter his bread. He kept going to Nelson Agholor on the outside. The rookie wide receiver continued to get the best of rookie corner Eric Rowe. Contact at the line is limited, so I wouldn't make any assumptions about Rowe just yet, but Agholor has looked more than competent.

The inside linebacker rotation remained the same, with Kiko Alonso, DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks splitting two-man repetitions with the first-team defense. Rookie Jordan Hicks took some snaps with the second team.

Defensive coordinator Bill Davis spoke about the depth at the position beyond the top three, and along with Hicks, there's Najee Goode, Emmanuel Acho and Brad Jones.
