Chip Kelly discusses hospital visit with Victor Cruz

Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz said Chip Kelly visited him in the hospital after Cruz hurt his knee in the Oct. 12 loss to the Eagles.

Kelly said Tuesday he checked on Cruz the next morning and wanted to see whether Cruz needed anything before being transferred to New York.

"I just think the way he got injured and you look at what happened, we're all competitors in this game," Kelly said.

Eagles linebacker DeMeco Ryans offered guidance to Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston last week. Winston, the 2013 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, has encountered controversy with legal and disciplinary issues. Ryans has known Winston for more than a decade - both are from Bessemer, Ala.

"Continue to have fun with what you're doing, but just be smart," Ryans told Winston.
