Eagles to wear black uniforms in Giants game

Nike needs more time to complete midnight green uniforms, so Eagles will forgo their white uniforms on Sunday night.

THE EAGLES announced they will wear black uniforms Sunday night against the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field. Linebacker Connor Barwin said on 94WIP Radio yesterday that, besides black jerseys, the team also would wear black pants, for the first time, a fact confirmed in a tweet by the team later in the afternoon.

The Eagles have worn all white in both home and away games, because new NFL uniform manufacturer Nike said it was experiencing delays in duplicating the Birds' midnight green on the fabric the apparel company invented for the league. It isn't clear when the team will have green jerseys.
