D-Jax: Redskins fans are more supportive

DeSEAN JACKSON has a selective memory.

Jackson, who signed with the Redskins in March after spending six seasons in Philly, was asked by CSN Washington's Chick Hernandez yesterday to compare Eagles and Redskins fans.

"It is different," Jackson said. "[Redskins fans] are very supportive here. They're open. Being out here on the field, I've been hearing certain things. But you know, they're good things. In Philly sometimes things could have got a little negative. They booed their own players. But here you don't really get that."

Somehow, Jackson - who was often cheered while making 82 receptions for a career-high 1,332 yards last season, came to this conclusion after a handful of practices.

Hell, he's so new to the Redskins that he probably has to use a GPS to get to training camp.

And let's be real: We're talkin' practice! Last we checked, not even Eagles fans boo at practice.

As for the regular season, well . . . if Jackson thinks 'Skins fans don't boo, he's in a for a surprise.

Dan Steinberg, of the Washington Post, reminded D-Jax yesterday that Redskins Nation turned into boobirds during the opening game of last season. Which, as memory serves, was against the visiting Eagles.

Jackson was there, but chooses not to remember. Just as he seems to not remember all the cheers that reigned down on him, including some at away games. Remember that "Miracle of the Meadowlands II" punt return against the Giants in 2010?

Did he ever get booed?. Of course. But that will happen when you're on a team that loses 10 straight home games over two seasons.

But if it's boos Jackson wants to remember, it's boos he'll get.

The Redskins play the Eagles on Sept. 21 at the Linc and Dec. 20 at FedEx.

It will no doubt be a a boo-tiful experience.
