The Eagles returned from the bye week in good health. Only safety Earl Wolff (knee) was sidelined at Tuesday's practice, when 52 of 53 players were full participants.

Linebacker Mychal Kendricks (knee) and cornerback Bradley Fletcher (pectoral) returned after missing the Nov. 17 win over Washington. Quarterback Michael Vick (hamstring) was at full speed and safety Colt Anderson (ankle) was back on the field after sitting out the team's lone practice last week.

"You've got to have all hands on deck, and I think it's a good situation," coach Chip Kelly said. "You wish you had Earl with it, but besides that, the guys have done a really good job of taking care of themselves."

This could be a testament to the team's emphasis on sports science, or it could simply be good fortune. But the Eagles have avoided major injuries since the season started. They have not placed a single player on season-ending injured reserve during the regular season, and have not used the short-term IR designation. The Eagles placed five players on IR in preseason and in training camp.

Kelly said Kendricks was "really coming on" before he was hurt in the first quarter of a Nov. 10 win over Green Bay. Kendricks sat out the rest of the game but missed just one start with an injury that had the potential to be much worse.

"I'm glad we had this bye week," Kendricks said. "And I'm also thankful that nothing serious happened. We were talking something very serious. Could have been something structurally. . . . Everything could have been torn."

Acho the scout

Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho visited his brother, Arizona Cardinals linebacker Sam Acho, during the Eagles bye week. Emmanuel Acho watched the Cardinals' 40-11 win over the Indianapolis Colts in person. The Eagles will host the Cardinals on Sunday, and Acho kept a notebook in hand as he watched the game.

He noted Arizona's propensity for repeating successful plays.

"If I saw something that stuck out, I wrote it down," Acho said. "And within a series, they'd run the same play five plays later because it worked. I took note of that."
