Kelce brothers together again

IT IS HARD for any athlete to make it to the top tier in his sport. According to the NFL, .2 percent of all high school players will make it to the highest standard of football. It is incredibly rare for two players from the same family to reach their dream.

That was not the case in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

The dream is a reality for brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. It all came full circle last night when they stepped on the field together for the first time in the NFL. Jason, the elder of the two, was drafted by the Eagles in 2011, his younger brother just this past year by the Chiefs. They both attended the University of Cincinnati and ended up playing together there for two seasons.

Jason found success right away in the NFL, starting at center as a rookie. His younger brother has not seen much of the field for the Chiefs and was not active last night.

Mike Vick seems to have a target on his back. While this is not unique for an NFl quarterback, it is not normally verbalized by opposing teams. Chiefs safety Eric Berry was not afraid to voice his opinion before last night's game.

Berry, on "NFL Total Access" this week, proclaimed that if he could intercept any quarterback in the league, it would be Vick. The Tennessee product had five career interceptions before last night.

"I think that would be a big statement, a big deal for me, because I grew up watching him in Atlanta. He was a lot of people's idol back home so I definitely feel like that would be something special," Berry told Dan Heille on NFL Network.

Berry's wish came true early last night. He took a tipped Vick pass back for a 38-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It was Vick's first interception this season, and put the Chiefs in front 10-0 less than 4 minutes into the game. His sixth career interception, and first of the year, gave the Chiefs a big start.
