DeSean Jackson left Thursday's practice with what the Eagles called a minor toe injury.

Jackson, the team's top wide receiver, has been having a standout camp. The team was not wearing pads Thursday and practiced indoors because of the rain.

Cornerback Bradley Fletcher also left practice early with a groin injury. Fletcher is expected to be a starter, and Thursday marked the first day since last Friday that the Eagles' top two cornerbacks were on the field. Cary Williams returned to action after missing nearly a week with a hamstring injury.

Left tackle Jason Peters missed practice after he left Wednesday's workout with a hamstring injury. Peters watched from the sideline, where he was joined by defensive tackle Antonio Dixon (hamstring), tackle Ed Wang (knee), tight end Derrick Carrier (shoulder), and wide receiver Arrelious Benn (knee).

Benn's injury has lingered since last Friday. Benn was expected to compete with Riley Cooper in the team's efforts to replace the injured Jeremy Maclin. A former Buccaneer, Benn came to Philadelphia with the reputation of being injury-prone.

The Eagles waived wide receiver B.J. Cunningham after reaching an injury settlement with him. Cunningham has missed practice this week with a toe injury.

A 2012 sixth-round pick by the Miami Dolphins, Cunningham signed with the Eagles' practice squad last September.

The Eagles did not make an immediate move to replace him. The roster is at 89 players.

One day after Michael Vick took most of the first-team snaps, Nick Foles took the majority on Thursday. Foles had a strong afternoon, including a deep touchdown pass to Damaris Johnson. . . . The Eagles will practice Friday and take Saturday off. The next open practice at Lincoln Financial Field is on Monday. They will practice with the New England Patriots on Tuesday and Wednesday, then host the Patriots in the preseason opener next Friday.
