Peters had an outstanding year under new offensive line coach Howard Mudd. He led all tackles with 27 votes. Peters has been an all-pro four times, but this is his first time on the first team.

Defensive end Jason Babin, who finished third in the league with 18 sacks, made the all-pro second team, behind Minnesota's Jared Allen and the Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul.

Ex-Eagles kicker David Akers made the first team after having a strong season for San Francisco.

Wide receiver Mardy Gilyard signed a futures contract with the Eagles, the team announced Friday.

He caught 204 passes at the University of Cincinnati and was drafted by St. Louis in the fourth round of the 2010 draft. He was cut before the 2011 season and briefly picked up off waivers by the New York Jets before they released him five days later. Gilyard had six catches in 11 games for the Rams in 2010. He also returned 16 kickoffs, averaging 22.3 yards per return.
