BETHLEHEM - No sign of wide receiver DeSean Jackson, despite those reports Sunday that an end to his holdout was near.

"Me and DeSean, we've been talking a lot," quarterback Michael Vick said. "Everybody's just trying to get on the same page, and just create an understanding. DeSean, he has an upbeat attitude, very positive right now, and I think he's going to handle the situation like a man.

"We just gotta sit back and see what happens, but we want him here, we're looking forward to him coming in."

Vick said he doesn't know when Jackson will be here.

"DeSean loves the game of football. He loves this organization," Vick said. "Him and coach [Andy Reid] have a great relationship. Everybody's just trying to figure out the most rational way to handle the entire thing."

You might infer there that Vick is talking about Jackson coming in without a new contract, or perhaps as contract talks continue.

The Eagles have waived wide receiver Keith Carlos. Or maybe it was Carlos Keith. No, definitely Keith Carlos . . . In his PFT Live podcast appearance yesterday, Eagles president Joe Banner said there were three teams involved in the final stages of the Kevin Kolb talks, but "from the beginning, Arizona was the most aggressive team."
