Deadspin.com reported Friday that Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson made a gay slur during a radio show appearance on June 30, and it supplied audio it said was sent to the site by someone else.

Deadspin.com reported Friday that Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson made a gay slur during a radio show appearance on June 30, and it supplied audio it said was sent to the site by someone else.

The website reported that Jackson was a guest on Sirius XM radio's All Out Show with Rude Jude and Lord Sear when he responded to an obscene and confusing question from a caller by using foul language and gay slurs.

Later Friday, Deadspin issued an update in which Rude Jude said that Jackson was simply bantering with the caller.

"I don't think he's homophobic," the website quoted the radio host as saying. "He's joking."

Neither Jackson nor his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, could be reached for comment.
