Eagles Notes: Samuel, Parker expected to play against Cowboys

The extra days off proved to be just what the Eagles ordered for several injured players. Cornerback Asante Samuel and defensive end Juqua Parker are expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys, coach Andy Reid said Monday on WIP-AM (610). Samuel (knee) and Parker (hip), both of whom sat out the last two games, likely will practice Wednesday when the Eagles return to the NovaCare Complex, he said.

"They both seem to be getting healthy," Reid said. "I think they'll be out there and ready to go for practice."

Michael Vick wasn't on Reid's Friday injury report after the Eagles' 34-24 victory over Houston, but the quarterback has been receiving treatment for a bruised quadriceps. The coach said that the injury was minor and that Vick would be "back and ready to roll" for practice.

Reid did not have a status report for Winston Justice, however. The Eagles tackle hyperextended his knee against the Texans.
