You Talkin' to Me? Assessing the Eagles' chances for 2010

Now that the Eagles are about to play their final preseason game, it seems a good time to assess their 2010 chances. Does 6-10 sound a bit pessimistic to you guys? And, Gonz, I'm talking real football here, not that foofy fantasy stuff you play.

Love my fantasy teams. My buddy Wax and I just drafted a killer team. Championship. Put it on the board. . . . I have the Birds doing a little better than that, Fitz; 9-7 seems about right. Young, talented team with a better defense, but because of the inexperience I don't see them making the playoffs.

I don't know about 9-7. Seems overly optimistic, especially when you consider what we've seen - or haven't seen - in preseason. I can easily see them losing all six division games, including two to McNabb's 'Skins. By October, the faithful will be howling for Vick.

The defense appears improved, and if the OL is not a complete disaster, I can see 8-8. Anything above that is gravy. And you're barking up the wrong QB - the faithful are already screaming to bring back McNabb. They've turned on Kolb faster than they turned on Jim Thome.
