You Talkin' to Me? Generations squabble, but agree: Eagles win
From: Gonzalez, John To: Ford, Bob; Fox, Ashley Subject: Birds vs. 'Skins The 'Skins are in town today. Last year, the Eagles' postseason aspirations almost cratered the second time these teams met when the Birds went to Washington and played terribly in a loss.

The Cowboys smacked the Raiders the other night to remain in first in the NFC East. What happens with the Birds today? Do they win and stay close to Dallas or slip and fall against the 'Skins like last year?

Well, if you direct your attention to Page 1, which I like to refer to as the "grown-ups' table" of the sports section, you'll will find a clever, detailed analysis of this situation. Here at the "kids' table" of Page 2, where the cranberry sauce is slopped all over the tablecloth, I will suffice it to say that art imitates life and NFL seasons tend to replicate themselves as well.

So I'm at the kids' table? How the heck did that happen?

Arrived late, blocked in Uncle Steve's car, and spilled red wine on the new white rug in front of the fireplace. You're lucky you weren't put on the back porch with the dogs.

Ignore him, Ashley. Page 2 has tastier food prepared by better chefs. Page 1 is more of an appetizer - a not-so-satisfying holdover until the main course is served.
I don't trust the Birds. They should win easily today, but those are always the games that seem to confound them most - the ones that shouldn't give them any trouble. I think they'll beat Washington, but not by the giant spread Vegas put on this game.
Eagles 17, 'Skins 13.

Kids' table, kids' menu. Chicken fingers, mac and cheese, and lots of empty carbohydrates.
I'm going shutout with this one: Eagles 16, 'Skins 0.

Kids' table: Fewer wrinkles, better hair. And life still very much ahead of us.
Eagles win. They'll make a game of it, but talent prevails. They keep pace with the Cowboys. The season finale will be for the division.
Eagles, 24-17.
