You Talkin' to Me? How to not come back ... count the ways

Gonzo is AWOL. I can only imagine where he is today. Wanna venture a guess, or should we just ignore the comings and goings of our colleagues?
You certainly can't ignore the outrage over the Eagles' latest loss. Correct me if I'm wrong, Brookie, but I believe the Eagles' loss to Dallas was their 11th straight when trailing in the fourth quarter. Their inability to overcome a fourth-quarter deficit would seem to be more than a trend. It's who they are. What can be done to fix it?

This looks like a job for Super Vick! Undaunted loss fighter wrongly imprisoned now seeks to fight injustice on the outside, upholding the standards of truth, justice and the Eagle way.
Gonzo's not here? How can you tell?

Re: The Bobs
To change the fourth-quarter trend, they have to make plays. The biggest missed one I can remember is a drop by LeSean McCoy on a nicely setup screen just before the 52-yard field goal. Then the defense can't get a stop. We've seen similar scripts in the recent past.

Yes, we have. When you dig up the numbers, it gets a little staggering. The Eagles are 1-8-1 in the last 10 games decided by six points or less. Since the Super Bowl, they have won 34 of 38 games when leading going into the fourth quarter, but they've lost 4 of 28 when trailing and are 1-4-1 when tied.
I know Andy Reid was relatively unmoved by the 1-8-1 stat yesterday, but do you sense any doubt among the players about their ability to win in the clutch?

Re: The Bobs
I don't sense any doubt. You'd really have to investigate each game to determine if there was any link to their failures. A lot of people will blame McNabb and Reid, but it's never that simple.

I love Talkin' without Gonzobummer. It's so drab when he's here. You, Brookie, are a breath of fresh air, even though you don't always have that effect.

My forehead takes up more space, too, which means less words we have to write.

It's a win-win.
