Josh Freeman

Wearing the franchise's throwback Creamsicle uniform, Tampa Bay's rookie quarterback completed 14 of 31 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns with just one interception to earn the Bucs their first win of the year in beating Green Bay, 38-28.

Kris Brown

With the Texans trailing by 20-17 and time running out, the Houston kicker had a chance to tie the game with a 42-yard field goal, but missed. The failed kick ruined Brown's day after he had made a 56-yarder in the second quarter.

Jim Caldwell

The Colts' first-year coach is 8-0 after Indy's 20-17 win over Houston. He's the first rookie coach in nearly 70 years to get off to such a fast start.

Kurt Warner

The Arizona quarterback threw for five touchdowns in the Cardinals' 41-21 trouncing of Chicago. His 22-for-32 day, with zero interceptions, came a week after he threw five picks against Carolina.

Tommie Harris

The Bears' Pro Bowl defensive tackle was ejected early in the loss to the Cardinals when he punched Arizona offensive tackle Deuce Lutui in the head as they were on the ground.

Cedric Benson

The Cincinnati running back rushed for 117 yards in the Bengals' 17-7 win over Baltimore and became the first ballcarrier to have two 100-yard games in a single season against the Ravens in 12 years. The last back to do it was Jerome Bettis in 1997.

The Bengals' defense

Cincinnati shut down the Baltimore running game, holding the Ravens to 55 yards on the ground, and intercepted quarterback Joe Flacco twice. The victory lifted the Bengals to 4-0 in the AFC North and 6-2 overall.

Vontae Davis

The Miami rookie cornerback had a tough day against New England receiver Randy Moss in the Patriots' 27-17 win. First, Moss caught a 36-yard pass with Davis defending that led to a Patriots TD. Then Moss grabbed a short pass, stiff-armed Davis, and ran for a 71-yard score. To his credit, Davis did have an interception early in the game that led to a Dolphins field goal.

David Garrard

Roller-coaster Jacksonville climbed back to .500 (4-4) as its quarterback was an efficient 18 for 27 for 264 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions in a 24-21 victory over lowly Kansas City.

Aaron Rodgers

After starting the season with just two interceptions in seven games, the Green Bay quarterback threw three in the 38-28 loss to Tampa Bay. Tanard Johnson returned the last one 38 yards for a touchdown. Rodgers didn't get much help from his friends; he was sacked six times.

Michael Turner

The Atlanta running back flashed a return to form as he rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on just 18 carries to pace the Falcons over the Redskins, 31-17. His two TD gallops were for 58 and 30 yards.

Matthew Stafford

The Lions' rookie quarterback threw five interceptions in Seattle's 32-20 win over Detroit. The Lions squandered a 17-0 lead, and Josh Wilson returned Stafford's last pick 61 yards for a touchdown.

Drew Brees

The Saints quarterback did it again. He led New Orleans to another come-from-behind win, wiping out an 11-point halftime deficit, as the undefeated Saints beat Carolina, 30-20. Brees was 24 for 35 for 330 yards with a TD and an interception.

Philip Rivers

The Chargers QB salvaged his day when he hit Vincent Jackson with an 18-yard scoring pass with 29 seconds left in the game to edge the Giants, 21-20. Although Rivers had three TD passes, he was also intercepted twice.
