Re: Sporting options
So was Wednesday a great night, or what? I had been waiting for Wednesday since April. The thrill. The excitement. The SIXERS!
I mean, really, what is better than opening night of the NBA with our local franchise. They only lost by 14. They were in it through the first quarter. They waited until the end of the third to give up 100. And besides, there wasn't anything else to watch on the tube, was there?

Re: Sporting options
No quit in Eddie Jordan's team. Down 30-something, cut it to 14. I think they would have won if they had played a fifth quarter. I think the baseball team might have been playing some team from the Bronx, but who really cares when Elton Brand is back on the court wreaking havoc?

Re: Sporting options
I know everyone wants to pick on the Sixers. It's like shooting hoops against Samuel Dalembert. But I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they win 20 games this season. Maybe even 22, if that Jason Kapono gets cooking. I love the hiring of new coach Michael Jordan and his North Carolina offense. Bob and Ashley, you might not know this, but MJ was a really good basketball player way back in the '90s.

Wow, McLane. You're brutal.
Pop quiz: One pro franchise in town is hating that the Phillies are hogging all the attention, one has to be loving the cover. Can you guess which is which?

Re: Sporting options
I love quizzes. I'm really good at them. The Kixx are happy, the Phantoms are unhappy.

Re: Sporting options
Brookie, you get an F. The Phantoms aren't here any more. Duh. I know you're covering the Eagles but c'mon.

Re: Sporting options
You are a rotten teacher. Of course the Phantoms left town. The Phillies were getting all the headlines. Don't expect any apples from me.
