After the game, Brandon Jacobs said he can't see any of the remaining playoff teams beating the Eagles. Considering where this team was just three weeks ago, that's a remarkable statement. So, do you agree that the Birds are now the favorites to win it all?

Where's the kudos for the only Talkin' head who picked the Eagles to beat the Giants? Can we start with a little love for the guy who is obviously the only real football analyst on Page 2? I'm waiting.

Not entirely true. I picked them to cover the spread. Half in, half out. That's my new motto.

Between you, the head coach, and all the fans who have e-mailed demanding that I recognize how they "called it," I'm being forced to hand out an awful lot of kudos today. Makes me tired. But, sure, way to go, Bob. You're the man. Etc.

No, no, no. Picking the team to lose, but cover, is not the same thing. And my calling it does not go in quotations like that of those fraud "readers" of yours. It was in the paper Sunday morning. So, let's have a real heartfelt response.

I do not think the Eagles are the favorites to win it all. Vegas agrees. Eagles are currently second choice, behind Steelers, ahead of Ravens and Cardinals. Those lines reflect the belief that Ravens don't even make the Super Bowl. If it did come down to Eagles-Ravens for the championship, I'm not sure Eagles would be favored in that case, either, having lost to them by 29 points, even if that game has more asterisks than a credit card contract.

Mocking the readers now, are we? Just be sure to maintain your distance from me while poking them with the angry stick. I don't want to be collateral damage.

Like the Eagles, the Ravens and Steelers have nasty defenses, so I don't know about the Birds being the favorites, either. Feels more like a three-way tie to me. Oh, and you can't forget about the Cardinals. (Snicker.)

Oh, my goodness. You just snickered at the Cardinals. I believe they were doing that in Charlotte last week, too. Dipping a toe into fate's ocean, aren't we? Oh, and I have to know, is Fearce predicting a Super Bowl win? He's my favorite of your imaginary friends.

Don't go to the game. Do something else. Something Gonzo. That's what the boss said. Ordering pizza at Fearce's is pretty Gonzo if you ask me. Some of them had crazy toppings like pepperoni.

Fearce is still straddling the fence. He's a wait-and-see type of Philly fan.

Not terribly fearce of him. Tell him we have nothing to fearce but fearce himself.

Boy, this was an easy day for Phil.
