Is that all there is?: Almost as stunning as the Eagles' 13-13 tie to the one-win Bengals was the fact that most of the Eagles' players, including quarterback Donovan McNabb, who has been in the NFL for 10 seasons, didn't know there is only one overtime period in regular-season pro football games.
Short-yardage woes, Chapter 10: The Eagles converted just 1 of 4 third- and fourth-and-1 situations against a defense that was 31st in the league in third-down defense. They threw the ball on four of them.
Slumping Donovan: For the second straight week, Donovan McNabb completed less than 50 percent of his passes and averaged less than 6 yards per attempt. He threw three interceptions for the first time since doing it against Tampa Bay in October 2006.
The disappearance of B-West: Brian Westbrook once again was a nonfactor, collecting just 71 rushing and receiving yards. In the last three games, he's averaged just 3.8 yards per touch and hasn't had a touchdown.
Turn out the lights, the party's over: The Eagles fell to 5-4-1, and their poor play against the one-win Bengals offers little hope that they can get back on track and make the playoffs.
