A team source said last night the Eagles have heard nothing about the identity of Westbrook's new representative. The Pro Bowl running back fired agent Fletcher Smith on Monday. A published report quoted a source close to the situation as saying Westbrook would hire J.R. Rickert, of All-Pro Sports - the agency cornerback Lito Sheppard dismissed this week in favor of Drew Rosenhaus.
Rickert said Thursday he had not heard from Westbrook, and an All-Pro representative said last night that remains the case. Rosenhaus will not represent Westbrook, a source has told the Daily News.
The Eagles and Smith had been discussing an adjustment to the 5-year, $25 million contract extenstion Westbrook signed in 2005. *
