Catch T.O.'s act on sitcom

WE ALWAYS LOOKED at Terrell Owens as something of an actor - and more - trapped in an NFL uniform.

His life seemed to be one big audition, but for what we never could figure out. He was angry,

he was petulant, he was charming, he was doing sit-ups in his driveway.

While he wasn't Shakespearian, his method was madness, and he was getting the attention he craved.

Tomorrow night, he will be on prime-time

television, without wearing his No. 81 uniform. Owens will

appear on the MyNetworkTV show "Under One Roof." It is considered his sitcom acting

debut, although many consider that to be the Eagles' 2005

season.

That offseason was Owens' dramatic debut, co-starring his quarterback Donovan McNabb. (And really, has McNabb been the same since T.O. blew through here?)

In tomorrow's sitcom, Owens is the long-lost brother of the star's show Flavor Flav. He tries

to convince Flav and sibling Kelly Perine that as brothers they should invest in his Web site.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Owens showed uncharacteristic humility. "If I'm going to really consider doing acting after football, this is a great start to let me get my feet wet," Owens said. "For an actor trying to become an A-lister, I think I'm on the bottom of the pile.

I'm a D-lister."

Hey, he stole our line.

Maybe 13 is a lucky number

Speaking of Terrell Owens' favorite football team, your Eagles are ranked No. 13 in ESPN's first NFL power rankings. They are the seventh-ranked NFC team. Dallas is No. 4, tops in NFC. Patriots are No. 1. ESPN's commentary was a bit more enthusiastic: "Last season, they hit their stride when it was too late. With a fully healed Donovan McNabb and an improved secondary, the Eagles could be dangerous."

If they only had a first-round draft pick . . . *
