VILLANOVA junior quarterback John Robertson is one of 20 players on the watch list for the 2014 Walter Payton Award given to the top player in FCS.

Last year, he finished ninth in the voting after accounting for 3,362 offensive yards and 33 touchowns for a 6-5 team. In 2012, he won the Jerry Rice Award as the top freshman in FCS.

Wildcat Brian Finneran was the Payton recipient in 1997, the only wideout to ever be so honored. Four years later his one-time teammate, running back Brian Westbrook, also finished first.
