Villanova coach Jay Wright announced that backup guard Mislav Brzoja intends to transfer.
As a freshman last season, the 6-foot-4 Brzoja appeared in 17 games for the Wildcats and averaged 0.1 points. The native of Croatia played one season at Traders Point Christian Academy in Indiana before coming to Villanova.
"Mislav is a great team player and outstanding student who was a big part of our team's success last year," Wright said in a statement. "He is interested in pursuing a more prominent role with another program and we support his decision."
Brzoja is the second member of last season's Wildcats to transfer. Guard Achraf Yacoubou announced his intention in April and ended up at St. Louis. - Joe Juliano
