Villanova's Scottie Reynolds has become the first Associated Press All-America since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976 not to be taken in the NBA draft.
The 6-2 senior guard was not one of the 60 players who heard their name called last night in the two rounds of the draft.
Reynolds averaged 18.5 points and 3.3 assists per game last season for the Wildcats, who were ranked in the top 10 all season and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The other four All-Americas were all taken in the first five picks of the first round. Kentucky freshmen John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins went first and fifth, respectively, while juniors Evan Turner, the national player of the year from Ohio State, and Wesley Johnson, of Syracuse, were the second and fourth picks.
Other local players thought to have a chance at being drafted, La Salle's Rodney Green and Duke's Brian Zoubek, from Haddonfield, N.J., also were bypassed.
