Villanova announced that 6-foot-11 forward/center Maurice Sutton signed a national letter of intent, making him the only incoming scholarship freshman on the Wildcats' 2008-09 roster.
Sutton averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocked shots for Largo High School (Md.).
"We are very fortunate to land a quality player, person and student this late in the recruiting calendar," Villanova coach Jay Wright said in a statement. "Maurice is a wonderful young man with incredible potential as a basketball player."
