Some highlights from Temple football coach Geoff Collins' weekly Tuesday press conference:

The media saw injured Logan Marchi taking reps for the first time in a while. On who would be the backup quarterback to Frank Nutile in Friday's game at Cincinnati.

"He (Marchi) is getting reps, (Anthony) Russo is getting reps. They are both out there competing and playing, and that will be a game-time decision."

On whether wide receiver Ventell Bryant, who missed the Navy game because of an "internal matter," will play against Cincinnati.

"Absolutely, yes. We are excited about it. He has done a great job this week, he has a great attitude and was flying around and making some really good plays for us, so we are excited to see him play on Friday and it's going to be good to get him back."

On 6-foot-1, 325-pound defensive tackle Freddie Booth-Lloyd earning the No. 1 single digit this week for his toughness and production.

"The guy who will be wearing jersey No. 1 for us, and it is going to look unbelievably sexy on him, is Freddie Booth-Lloyd. He was a dominant force in the game for us."

On Collins doing 10 push-ups on the sideline after a fourth-quarter interception by Delvon Randall in last week's win over Navy.

We make a big deal if a kid drops a pick or drops a fumble recovery — they have to drop down and do 10 push-ups right away. So we kind of flipped something and said anytime you guys get a turnover in practice (and now the games), caused fumble, recovered fumble or pick, you get to hand it to any coach and they have to drop down and give you 10 push-ups and the kids loved it and started doing it. It didn't get noticed at ) East Carolina. Delvon got a pick and made me do it at East Carolina. Not many people saw it, thank goodness. This game, everybody saw it. It is a nice little tradition; the kids love it."

On Cincinnati quarterback Hayden Moore, who has completed 55.7 percent of his passes for 1,959 yards and 13 touchdowns.

"Now, we got to do a great job disguising on the back end because one of the best things their quarterback does, he sees coverage, he know where to go with the ball and has a very quick release and has great skills guys out on the perimeter that he can get it to. He makes really good decisions and knows exactly where to go with the ball, and he gets rid of it in time to where it needs to be with some velocity."

On the Denver Broncos coming to Temple for their walk-through Saturday, a day before facing the Eagles.

"It was really cool. I was seven years old, and my first Little League team was the Broncos. To be standing there with John Elway (Denver's president of football operations), it was pretty cool."
