Lee named Big 5 player of week

Temple center Anthony Lee was named the Big 5 men's basketball player of the week on Monday.

The 6-foot-9 redshirt sophomore averaged 17.5 points and eight rebounds in last week's games against Xavier and St. Louis. Lee's highlight was a 20-point and 10-rebound effort in Saturday's 64-54 victory over St. Louis.

The Maryland native is averaging 12.2 points and 7.3 rebounds this season.

Temple center Victoria Macaulay and St. Joe's forward Chatilla van Grinsven are the Big 5 women's co-players of the week.
