Owls ranked 22d in both polls

Temple is finally garnering national respect.

The Owls (21-5) are ranked 22nd in both the latest Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today coaches polls, released Monday.

This marks the first time since last season's March 7, 2011 rankings that Temple has been ranked in either poll.
Back then, the Owls were ranked No. 24 by the AP and No. 25 by the coaches.
Cracking the Top 25 should not be a surprise. Temple has won 10 consecutive games by an average margin of 13.9 points since losing at Richmond on Jan. 14.
The Owls have victories over nationally ranked squads in Duke (fourth by coaches, fifth by AP) and Wichita State (19th in both rankings).
