Temple guard Khalif Wyatt will not start Wednesday’s game against George Washington for showing up late for study hall. Freshman point guard Will Cummings will start in his place.

It is unknown how long Wyatt will sit on the bench.

This marks the third time this season the 6-foot-4 guard is being disciplined.

The NCAA suspended him for the Owls’ season-opener at Penn for playing in an unsanctioned summer league. Then Wyatt was held out of the starting lineup at Toledo for showing up late for a film study.

The Norristown High graduate ranks second in the conference in scoring (16.4 points per game) behind teammate Ramone Moore (18 points).

Cummings, who started in place of Wyatt against Toledo, will make his second start of the season.

Sounds like Khalif has a case of swollen head; rules for him and rules for everyone else!

Time for some more serious sanctions for Mr. Khonfidence. He seems to think that rules don't apply to him, which is a red flag. He's a great player, but he's a head case.

Man, you guys are harsh. I agree that you should face consequences when you err, and the action by Dunphy appears to be warranted, but the kid was late for study hall and film study. How does this translate to a swollen head or being a head case? If you've watched any of the post game press conferences, Dunphy loves this kid. I don't think khalif suffers from anything other than being a kid and testing some boundaries. The two tend to go hand in hand.
