Terrell Owens showed up yesterday at the Buffalo Bills' facility in Orchard Park, N.Y., to participate in the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program, ESPN.com reported.

His arrival was surprising, as Owens previously had said he had no intention of attending any Bills workouts unless they were mandatory.

The wide receiver who was cut by the Dallas Cowboys signed a 1-year deal with the Bills worth $6.5 million.

In other Buffalo news, running back Marshawn Lynch has been suspended for the first three games of the 2009 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy, ESPN.com reported, citing sources. An official announcement could come as soon as today.

Lynch was arrested Feb. 11 near Los Angeles and later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge.
