Hawks win first game in Italy

St. Joseph's basketball team won its first game during its trip to Italy with an 88-65 win over the All-stars Dream Team in Rome.

Ronald Roberts had 15 points. Other Hawks in double figures were Langston Galloway and freshman DeAndre Bembry (14 each) and Chris Wilson (10).

Daniela Quarterieri led the All-Stars with 25 points, hitting seven three-pointers.

The Hawks starting lineup consisted of Galloway, Wilson, Roberts, Halil Kanacevic and Daryus Quarles.

After seeing practice last week, it's not surprising that the 6-6 Bembry made such a strong opening contribution.

The second of the Hawks four games will be Saturday in Florence
