St. Joe's dominates all-Big Five baseball team

St. Joseph's was well-represented on the all-Big Five baseball team released Tuesday. The Hawks placed four position players and a pair of pitchers on the squad.

St. Joe's outfielder Collin Forgey was named player of the year and pitcher Jordan Carter was pitcher of the year in voting by coaches and sports information directors.

Other position players named to the team were St. Joe's catcher Brian O'Keefe, Temple first baseman Robert Amaro, Villanova second baseman Todd Czinege, La Salle shortstop Kevin Baron, St. Joe's third baseman Stefan Kancylarz, Penn outfielder Rick Brebner, St. Joe's outfielder Chris Hueth, and La Salle outfielder Justin Korenblatt.

St. Joe's Tommy Cunningham was named the team's designated hitter. Fritz Hamburg, who led the Hawks to 35 wins this season, was honored as the Big Five's top coach.
