Big 10 gives teams regular byes starting in 2010

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State will play its annual season finale against Michigan State the Saturday after Thanksgiving starting in 2010.

The Big Ten conference schedules for 2010-12 include a bye week for each team, pushing the end of the regular season back a week. Penn State typically wraps up its regular season the weekend before Thanksgiving.

The Nittany Lions have played a full 12-game slate in 12 weeks the past two seasons, but do have an off-week this season. But the calendar this year still allows Penn State to finish its 2008 campaign on Nov. 22, before Thanskgiving.

The Nittany Lions will have no bye in 2009 before the regular bye weeks begin the following year.
