STATE COLLEGE - A Penn State student group has pulled T-shirts mocking Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor that were to be sold for tomorrow's game at Beaver Stadium.

The shirts created by the Penn State Marketing Association depicted the Nittany Lion mascot with one arm around Pryor and the other holding a box of tissues. Pryor is shown in uniform reaching for a tissue.

Below the drawing was the phrase, "The Nutcracker - a Terrelle Cryer Story."

Penn State's student newspaper, The Daily Collegian, wrote about the shirt on Tuesday.

The marketing association apologized yesterday and said they did not intend to offend Pryor, a touted western Pennsylvania recruit who spurned Penn State for Ohio State last year. *

Why is that "offensive"? I hope PSU's defense does make him cry.

Many on campus thought it was "bad sportsmanship" to single out an individual player (who's probably about 19 years old and from PA) and sell it on a t-shirt for $10 a pop.
