Sources familiar with the situation have confirmed that Penn's basketball program has received a commitment from Dua Jok, a 6-2 shooting guard from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa, who is related to former Sixers center Manute Bol.
Jok visited the Penn campus last weekend. He was also being recruited by Drake, Montana and North Dakota, and is the latest piece of a recruiting class that already was considered to be very promising.
Jok's brother, Peter, a 6-4 freshman, is rated as one of the top prospects for the Class of 2013.
