Landry leads Temple women over La Salle

Shenita Landry had 15 points and 12 rebounds as Temple claimed a share of its sixth consecutive Big 5 title with a 62-55 victory over visiting La Salle last night. The Owls (11-7, 3-1 Big 5, 3-1 Atlantic 10) will share the City Series title with the winner of the Feb. 11 Saint Joseph's-La Salle game.

Shaqwedia Wallace had 14 points and LaKeisha Eaddy added 13 points and eight assists for Temple.

Jamie Walsh led the Explorers (9-10, 2-1, 0-4) with 13 points. Ashley Gale (12 points) and Margaret Ekderton (nine assists) chipped in.

"We ended up pulling it out today," Landry said. "It was a good win. Every win helps."

In another game:

Antelia Parrish scored 14 points to lead George Washington to a 67-60 victory over visiting Villanova in a nonleague game. Laura Kurz had 29 points for the Wildcats. Both teams are 10-8. *
