Women's City Six roundup: Drexel beats Delaware for first place tie in CAA

The Dragons are tied for first in the Colonial Athletic Association with James Madison. Both teams have their regular season finales on Saturday.

DREXEL 72, DELAWARE 53

Kelsi Lidge scored a career-high 27 points to lead the visiting Dragons over the Blue Hens, putting Drexel in a tie with James Madison for first place in the Colonial Athletic Association in the process.

Lidge shot 12-for-19 from the field, grabbed six rebounds, and earned four assists. Sara Woods had eight rebounds and added 12 points on 6-for-10 shooting. Aubree Brown recorded 10 points and six rebounds.

Samone DeFreese led Delaware with 17 points.

The Dragons (23-6, 15-2 conference) will face Charleston at home on Saturday in their regular season finale. James Madison (19-9, 15-2 conference) will conclude its regular season at home on Saturday, as well. The Dukes will play William & Mary in their finale.
