RODNEY WILLIAMS and Kurk Lee scored 14 points apiece and Drexel rallied in the final minutes of the game to turn back Lafayette, 73-70, on Wednesday night in Easton, Pa.

In playing the Leopards for the first time since 2004, the Dragons avoided dropping their third straight game, after previous losses to Niagara and La Salle.

Lee, a freshman forward out of Baltimore, reached double scoring figures for the seventh straight game. He is averaging 16 points a game for the Dragons, who improved to 3-4.

Miles Overton added 12 points for the Dragons, while Sammy Mojica added 10.

Lafayette (2-4), which lost its third straight, led for most of the game, including by 16 just after the second half began.

Drexel took its first lead, 68-66, on a Mojica three with 53 seconds remaining. An Overton layup and a pair of free throws by John Moran extended the lead to 72-68, enough for the Dragons to hold on for the win.

Senior guard Nick Linder, a Germantown Academy product, led the Leopards with 21 points. Paulius Zalys added 16 for Lafayette. Junior forward Matt Klinewski,of Eastern High in Voorhees, was held to 11 points, but kept up his streak of reaching double figures in every game this season.

The Dragons will next play Saturday at High Point in North Carolina, and will be off until Dec. 11 when they host Saint Joseph's at the Daskalakis Center.
