Drexel's women's team has drawn the sixth seed in the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament which gets under way Thursday at Upper Marlboro, Md.
Like the Drexel men's team, Denise Dillon's squad (18-11, 10-8 CAA) will open with Towson (9-20, 3-15), at 7:30 p.m. The winner advances to a semifinal date with third-seed UNC Wilmington (22-7, 14-4) on Friday at 7:30.
Also on Thursday, Delaware (17-12, 10-8), the tourney's seventh seed, will meet Northeastern (8-21, 3-15) at 5 p.m., with the winner facing No. 2 Old Dominion (20-9, 14-4) in a Friday semi.
James Madison (23-7, 16-2), the tournament's top seed, is also the defending champion.
