Wyatt adds Big 5 player-of-the-week honor

It appears that Dayton coach Archie Miller isn't the only person impressed with Temple's Khalif Wyatt.

Hours after being named the Atlantic Ten player of the week on Monday, the junior guard was selected as the Big Five player of the week.

"Khalif Wyatt in my opinion is one of the best offensive players I've seen in the last couple of years," Miller said during Monday's A-10 coaches teleconference.

Making 5 of 10 three-pointers, Wyatt finished with a career-high 28 points in an 87-77 setback to Miller's Flyers on Saturday at the Liacouras Center. Eleven of Wyatt's points came in the final 3 minutes, 15 seconds of a comeback attempt.

That came three days after Wyatt had a game-high 22 points and a career-best five steals in Temple's 78-73 upset over then fifth-ranked Duke at the Wells Fargo Center.

The 6-foot-4 Norristown High graduate averaged 25 points, four rebounds, 3.5 steals and three assists  as the Owls split two games last week.
