UConn women rally past Georgetown

Maya Moore finished with a game-high 23 points and Bria Hartley added 17 as Connecticut defeated Georgetown, 68-63, in Sunday's Philadelphia Regional semifinal at the Liacouras Center.

The victory sends the top-seeded Huskies (35-1) back to the NCAA tournament's Elite Eight for the sixth consecutive season and 17th time in school history.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Connecticut will meet the winner of Sunday's game between second-seeded Duke and third-seeded DePaul.

The Hoyas (24-11), on the other hand, only get the satisfaction of reaching the Sweet 16 for the second time in school history.

Sunday's victory also enabled Connecticut to sweep this season's three meetings against its Big East foes.

Monica McNutt led Georgetown with 17 points.
