The Temple football team will entertain Fordham on Sept, 14, 2013 at Lincoln Financial Field, according to multiple sources.

It is unlikely that the Owls will have a home-and-home series with the Football Championship Subdivision program.

Temple's current announced nonleague games for next season are at Notre Dame (Aug. 31), at Idaho (Sept. 28) and against Army (Oct. 19) at the Linc.

Temple will sink back into mediocrity now that it is back in the Big East.

Fordham?? If you're going to play a team from the Patriot League, at least play Lehigh or Colgate.

Why does Temple insists on playing Division 1 football when it cannot compete both on the field and in the stands.

i have a bad feeling about the big east....more for basketball....the A 10 is now much stronger than it had been with butler and VCU.......hope temple didn't sell out B ball for football dreams which don't seem like they will materialize.....they can't and won't draw enough to be bigtime......

This game will draw 7,000 people. Temple dropped the ball by not extending the Mayor's Cup.

Why doesnt Temple schedule Delaware? You are looking at delaware brink 20K plus to go along with Temples 20-25k. That game will have over 40k and would be a local rivalry!

Thangod we don't have to watch Temple blow out Nova again... Fordham's on the field product is 10x better than that poor excuse for a football team on the Main Line

Frankly, Temple is being smart with their scheduling (altho I don't know how good Idaho may be) to give themselves a better chance for those all-important 6 wins. I can remember when the Owls had a natioally top-10 schedule and even tho they were pretty good it was very difficult to have winning seasons. Every time they scheduled another SEC team (and I'm not talking Vanderbilt) I cringed, saying to myself "why?" for Gods sake do you keep doing this? Give yourself a fighting chance. Remember, being in the BE and needing only 6 wins to go bowling is the biggest benefit of being in this conference. Period. Also, most top teams in the country schedule at least one patsy team, so why shouldn't a building, struggling Temple do the same? Its the name of the game, not being chicken. Go Owls.

This Temple team probably would loose to Delaware but I agree that they need to schedule more realistically at least until they have demonstrated their competency . Play UMass...how about Duke?
