Temple wideout walks away from team

Temple wideout Mike Doty is no longer a member of the football team.
The junior walk-on informed the coaching staff Sunday of his decision to stop playing.
Doty was last season's holder on field goals and extra points. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder also played on the punt return and kickoff return units.
Doty transferred to Temple from Maine in January 2010.
