Some believe Temple is nothing more than a head-coaching stopover for Steve Addazio.

Addazio, however, has expressed his desire to remain an Owl for "the long haul" on multiple occasions. He said his goal is turn Temple into the Boise State of the East Coast.

"I love our team," he said of the youthful squad. "I mean, I really do. I'll sit there and I'll go home and I'd say, 'We had some rough days and we had some rough patches.' But I'm not doubting ... there's a great future.

"There are really good young players [on the team] and the energy and the excitement around our program is phenomenal. So you just got to grab and hold on to that thing and just keep building it, and blow through it. Don't ride the emotional rollercoaster all the time."

Temple takes 2-2 overall and 1-0 Big East records into Saturday's conference game at UConn (3-3, 0-1).
