POSTED: Monday, November 19, 2012, 12:33 PM

Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin was named Monday as the Big Ten's co-offensive player of the week for his record-breaking performance against Indiana.

McGloin, a fifth-year senior from Scranton, completed 22 of 32 passes for a career-best 395 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday's 45-22 win. The performance enabled him to become the Nittany Lions' single-season leader for most completions with 251 and most yards passing with 3,071.

The four touchdown passes gave McGloin 45 for his career, breaking Daryll Clark's all-time record of 43.

It is McGloin's second offensive player of the week honor. He also was named on Sept. 26, 2011 for his performance against Eastern Michigan (14 of 17, 220 yards, three touchdowns).

McGloin shared this week's award with Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner.
