Temple offered a football scholarship to Jordan Page, a junior offensive tackle at the Pennington School (N.J.) earlier this week.

It is the 6-foot-5, 295-pounder's first offer.

He is also being recruited by Penn State, South Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Boston College, Marshall, North Carolina State, Wisconsin, Delaware and James Madison.

"I'm appreciative,"  Page said of his offer. "I really like Temple and the coaching staff."

The standout, however, is also impressed with Penn State. He went to State College on Saturday for the Nittany Lions' Junior Day.

"Penn State, it was really good," Page said. "They have a really good staff there."

Still early in the recruiting process, the 17-year-old won't rush to make a decision.

"I'm just going to stay wide open and make a decision next year," he said.

Jordan, Before signing on...ask yourself whether you want to be on a program on the upswing, such as those Temple Owls, with Coach "A", or another program with sketelons in their closet and a horrible history of dealing with adversity. May you choose the correct decision.
Good luck with whatever you decide. (This comes from a former PSU supporter tha admired Joe Paterno throughout his great coaching career.)

Temple is competing with great football programs. The new practice facility will help the Owls turn the "page."
