Multiple sources have confirmed an OwlScoop.com report that Kevin Rogers has been hired as Temple's quarterbacks coach.

Rogers was the offensive coordinator at Boston College before taking a leave of absence in September.  Prior to that, the Brooklyn native was the Minnesota Vikings quarterbacks coach for five seasons, working with Brett Favre and Tavaris Jackson.

Rogers, who is regarded as one of the most well-respected coaches in the business, also served as the quarterbacks coach at Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Navy.  He also coached other positions at Ohio State and William & Mary during his coaching career.

Great, great hire. Temple's football and basketball programs are firing on all cylinders. No wonder why Villanova is deathly afraid of Temple joining the Big East.

Temple keeps taking strides forward with its football program. Too bad the Owls are stuck in the MAC, but I can see why Temple's lack of fan support would scare away any other conferences.

This is getting ridiculous. The owls have top tier BCS coaching, facilities and very competitive BCS talent. We also have the fourth biggest media market in the country. The owls would be highly competitive in all sports in any conference in the east (save the sec for football). How about a look from the ACC or BE?
