Joe Lunardi moved Temple up to a No. 6 seed in the NCAA tournament in his updated Bracketology blog post.

Lunardi, a college basketball analyst for ESPN known as Joey Brackets, has the Owls facing his predicted 11th-seed Kansas State in a second-round Midwest matchup in Pittsburgh. Temple was a No. 7 seed in his last blog post.

The winner will face the winner of the No. 3 Georgetown vs. No. 14 Drexel game in the next round. Now, that would be interesting if Philly's top teams meet in the tourney.

The St. Joseph’s graduate, who does Hawks radio broadcasts, only has two Atlantic Ten teams playing in the NCAA tournament. He predicts St. Louis will be the ninth seed in the West.

Let us not forget the seeding debacle from a couple years ago, from a "guaranteed" 3 seed but being only a 7 or 8 seed! Then getting knocked off by a very good Cornell squad. Remember? What a sham(e). Hate to say it, but it could happen again. Just being realistic. Go Owls.

this passes as news? ..what one out of several million fans "predicts" "could" be Temple's opponents when the tourney is set in a couple of weeks after a few more weeks of basketball games... why not report that the the 2023 World Series "could" match the Pittsburgh Pirates with the San Jose Royals, now wouldn't that be an interesting matchup?

Owls got a #5 seed and lost to the loaded #12 seed Cornell in 2010. Meanwhile committee favorite Villanova got a #2 seed and nearly lost to, I think, American U, then was blown out in the 2nd round.

A #6 seed would be ideal for the Owls - only need a mild upset in the 2nd round and then the bracket could open for a run to the Final Four. GO OWLS!!!

Owls can get #6 seed if they win out, but that's not likely. I see Temple as more of an 8 or 9 seed. Doesn't really matter. You've got to be at your best when the tourney starts, no matter who you play.

It's still premature to take this too seriously, but a #6 seed is way better than an 8 or 9. You don't want to play a #1 seed in 2nd round.

Jerry Palm on CBS Sportsline also does a bracket. He has Temple as a #5 seed right now. This is realistic if things fall the right way.
No way are they an 8 or 9 unless they collapse in the next couple weeks.
